Hurricane Window Protection
Nowadays, many insurance companies require homeowners to install approved hurricane protection. This not only reduces claims to the insurance company, but also protects homeowners from storm damage. It is worth mentioning that Astroguard is highly recognized and approved by important insurance companies like Chubb, Citizens (Florida), Fireman’s Fund, and many others.
Astroguard has such a translucent nature that allows light even when it is deployed over your windows, doors and lanais. We can assure you, you won’t be in the dark, so get rid of the “cave” feeling you get from traditional hurricane shutters.
FLORIDA BUILDING CODE APROVED
AstroGuard has passed the necessary rigorous testing to get Florida Building Code approval # 15208. It is also approved in Miami-Dade NOA # 12-1004.02.
10-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
We offer a 10-year Limited Warranty. See our Warranty to get more information.
AstroGuard comes in its own storage bags and can easily be put away in the attic, garage, or storage unit.
DO-IT-YOURSELF OR PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION
You have the option to purchase AstroGuard through an Authorized Dealer for professional assistance for its measuring and installation, or you can Do It Yourself. If you go for the second option (DIY), please be careful as any hurricane protection system will require engineering specifications for your area and AstroGuard is not an exception. When taking a look at the Engineering Drawings, please, call us for more information about how to install AstroGuard. Bear in mind that professional installers should have certification that proves that they are qualified to install hurricane products.
Installing Astroguard can be an easy task, but we really recommend you to request professional assistance when performing the task.
